A channel feed posts shared updates where a reception team can see them. It is separate from host direct messages, so you can use either feature or both.
Add a feed
- Open Connections, expand the connector and choose Channel feed.
- Create an incoming webhook in the Slack, Teams or Discord channel you want to use. For Google Chat, add the Just Arrived app to a space instead.
- Add a clear label, paste the webhook URL where requested and save the feed.
- Choose whether that feed receives arrivals, evacuations, or both, then send a test.
Choose the right audience
Use host direct messages for the person being visited. Use a channel feed when reception, security or a shared office team should see the same event. Turning off one feed does not disable the connector or other feeds.
Webhook URLs grant permission to post into a channel. Treat them as private, and replace a feed if its URL has been shared outside the intended team.
