The Discord integration sends hosts a direct message when their visitor checks in. It suits organizations whose staff already coordinate in Discord.
Set it up
- Open Integrations and find the Discord card. The card shows the bot username once it's connected.
- Each host needs their Discord user ID on their employee profile. In Discord, enable Developer Mode (Settings → Advanced), right-click your own name and choose Copy user ID.
- In the admin workspace, open the person on the People page, paste the ID into Discord user ID and save.
- Switch on the Discord toggle for that person. The toggle stays disabled until a user ID is set — that's deliberate, so no one is silently marked as reachable.
From then on, an arrival at the kiosk sends the host a Discord DM with the visitor's name, company and office. The Integrations card shows delivery state and the last successful send.
Discord DMs only arrive if the host shares a server with the bot or accepts DMs from server members. If a message is blocked, the card shows Blocked — ask the host to check their Discord privacy settings, and keep email switched on as a fallback.
