The Teams integration sends hosts an adaptive card DM when their visitor arrives, with quick-reply buttons (for example “On my way”) that the visitor can see on the kiosk.

How hosts get linked

Teams works per installation: when a person installs and opens the Just Arrived app in Teams, that installation is captured and matched to an employee by their Microsoft 365 email or sign-in name, falling back to an unambiguous display-name match. The Integrations page shows the counts — Installations and Matched hosts — so you can see who is linked. Installations that don't match automatically can be linked to an employee manually.

Three ways to deploy

  1. Store app (recommended). Employees find Just Arrived in the Teams app store, install it and open it once. That's the whole setup for that person.
  2. Evaluation package. For trying it out before a store rollout, sideload the evaluation app package into your tenant from the Integrations page.
  3. Self-hosted (bring your own bot). Larger organizations can register their own Teams bot in Azure and paste the credentials on the Integrations page. Credentials are stored encrypted and server-only, and messages flow through your own app registration.

With a Microsoft 365 admin's approval we can read one basic profile at a time for the person who installed the app, so hosts link themselves. We never list or copy your directory.

Finally, switch on the Teams toggle for each host on the People page. If Microsoft withholds a user's email, link them manually from the Teams card on the Integrations page.
