The Slack integration sends each host a direct message when their visitor checks in. One person connects it for the whole organization.

Connect the workspace

  1. Open Integrations in the admin workspace and find the Slack card.
  2. Choose Connect Slack. Slack opens in a new window — pick your workspace and approve the permissions.
  3. You land back on the Integrations page, and the card shows Connected with your workspace name.

Switch it on per host

Connecting the workspace doesn't message anyone by itself. Each employee decides on the People page: open the person and switch on the Slack toggle. Hosts are matched to their Slack account by their work email.

From then on, an arrival at the kiosk sends the host a DM with the visitor's name, company and office. The card on the Integrations page shows when the last message was delivered, so you can confirm it's flowing.

A host with the toggle on but no Slack account matching their email simply won't receive DMs — email notifications keep working as a fallback. Check the email address on the person matches their Slack account.

To remove the integration, open the Slack card and choose Disconnect. Hosts keep their email notifications; nothing else changes.
