A kiosk is any tablet with a modern browser — Safari on iPad, Chrome on Android. There is no app to install; the kiosk runs at a web address and pairs to your office with an eight-character code.
Create the pairing code
- In the admin workspace, open Offices and pick the office the tablet belongs to.
- Open the Devices tab and choose Add a device.
- Give the screen a name (for example Reception left), keep the type on Check-in kiosk and press Create code.
- The code appears under Pairing codes in the format
XXXX-XXXX. Unused codes expire on their own.
Type it into the tablet
- On the tablet, open
justarrived.io/kioskin the browser. - The screen asks for a pairing code. Type the eight characters — dashes and case don't matter.
- Within a few seconds the tablet switches to the check-in screen for that office.
Once paired, the tablet remembers its office even across restarts and browser reloads — you only pair a device once.
No spare tablet? Turn on QR check-in from the office's QR check-in card and print the poster — visitors check in on their own phones. It bills as one device for that office, the same as a kiosk would.
If a tablet keeps showing the pairing screen after you entered the code, the code was never submitted or the device was revoked. Create a fresh code and try again. To retire a tablet, use Revoke on its card in the Devices tab.
For a lobby setup we recommend enabling Guided Access (iPad) or kiosk mode (Android) so visitors can't leave the check-in screen, and setting the screen to never sleep while plugged in.
