The emergency feature turns your visitor ledger and employee directory into a live roll call. When an evacuation is triggered, everyone on site is alerted and can mark themselves safe, and kiosks switch to a roll-call screen.

Trigger an evacuation

  1. Open Emergency in the admin workspace and pick the office.
  2. Type EVACUATE into the confirmation field — this prevents accidental triggers.
  3. Press Evacuate now. For practice, use Start drill instead: the flow is identical but everything is labelled as a drill.

What happens next

Every person currently on site — visitors and employees — receives a safety link by email and on their connected chat channels (Slack, Teams). Opening the link lets them confirm they're safe or flag that they need help. Kiosks at the office immediately switch to roll-call mode, showing the assembly point and the live list.

Run the roll call

The Emergency page lists everyone with a status: Safe, Needs help or Unaccounted. Statuses update live as people respond to their safety link. Fire wardens can also mark people manually with Mark safe — the list records who marked them and when.

When everyone is accounted for, press End evacuation — an all-clear goes out on the same channels and kiosks return to check-in. The full roll call can be exported as CSV for your safety records.

Set the assembly point per office under Offices → Safety before you need it — it's shown on kiosks and in the safety messages. This is also why the kiosk asks for an email address at check-in: it's the channel that reaches a visitor during an evacuation.
